By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Your Health Information and HIPAA

As a healthcare provider, B Hive is a covered entity under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Information that identifies you and relates to your health, care, or payment for care is Protected Health Information (PHI).

Once you become a patient, or when you submit health information through our booking or intake forms, that information is handled under our Notice of Privacy Practices. Please ask one of our representatives to share the information with you. The Notice describes how we may use and disclose your PHI and your rights to access, amend, and restrict it. If this Privacy Policy and our Notice of Privacy Practices ever conflict about PHI, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.

This Privacy Policy covers general website information, such as browsing activity and messages that do not contain health details.

4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Tools

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, understand how visitors use it, and measure our advertising. These may include Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) tools, and call tracking.

We limit these tools to protect your health privacy:

  • We do not place third-party advertising or analytics tracking on pages where you enter health information, such as booking, intake, or patient-portal pages
  • We configure these tools so they do not receive your name, contact details, or health information
  • Where a vendor may handle PHI, we require a signed Business Associate Agreement before it is used

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad preferences at adssettings.google.com and in your Meta account settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work. Our website does not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or your health information. We share information only as described below:

  • Service providers: companies that help us run our clinic and website, such as scheduling and intake platforms, electronic health records, payment processors, financing partners, email and text providers, hosting, and IT support. Vendors that handle PHI must sign a Business Associate Agreement and protect it as HIPAA requires.
  • Your care: other providers, labs, and pharmacies involved in your treatment, as permitted by HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices.
  • People you authorize: family members or others you tell us we may share information with.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or a public health or licensing authority, or to prevent a serious threat to health or safety.
  • Business changes: if our practice is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner, who must continue to protect it under applicable law.

6. Text Messages, Calls, and Email

If you give us your mobile number, you agree to receive text messages from B Hive Wellness about appointments, reminders, and follow-up care. With your separate consent, we may also send promotional messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase or service.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver messages.

Calls to our clinic may be recorded for quality and training purposes. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email. We will still send messages needed for your care and appointments.

7. How We Protect and Keep Your Information

We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards required by the HIPAA Security Rule. These include encrypted connections (SSL/TLS), secure HIPAA-compliant scheduling and record systems, role-based staff access, and staff privacy training. No website or online transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We keep medical records for the periods required by Arizona law (A.R.S. § 12-2297) and federal law. Other website information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, then deleted or de-identified.

If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by the HIPAA Breach Notification Rule and Arizona law (A.R.S. § 18-552).
